Background: The search for bioactive organic products the treatment of various diseases is a growing concern worldwide, because these natural are associated with fewer side effects and easily accessible. Aim: present study analysed phytochemical constituents cytotoxic leaf, bark fruit extracts Cordia grandicalyx Oberm. Setting: Plant samples were collected from Ga-Mashishimale village in Ba-Phalaborwa Municipality, South Africa. Methods: Antioxidant activity was determined through 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radical scavenging method, whilst assay assessed using 3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5 diphenyl tetrazolium bromide method. subjected to profiling both qualitative quantitative methods. also fractionation column chromatography thin-layer chromatography, sub-fractions considerable yields identified nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). Results: aqueous leaves had significant ( p < 0.001) antioxidant as compared negative controls ascorbic acid. Additionally, appreciable amounts total phenolic alkaloid contents recorded on polar extracts, notably 200 mg/GAE 140 mg/quercetin equivalents leaf cold water hot respectively.
